In the “Life Outside the Real World” she sighs,
as she thinks each day of the dream she desires.
Frustrated with sleeping, she tosses and turns to try and find rest,
for this she yearns.
She must not be weary as she prepares to go
to the real world of work she has come to know;
of smiles and courtesies and fashions awry,
of whispers and mockeries and hearts of lies.
Lies walking to and fro everyday,
trapped in life’s countless attacks of dismay;
of who you are and who you should be,
trying to endure this lifetime with sanity.
But deep within where no one can see,
the artist is struggling and grappling to be free.
Freed from the mockeries and hearts of lies,
from a corporate artist to a full one she desires.
