The Damage Done

Undoing the damage done,

without undoing the victories won,

is like undoing my dread locked hair

requiring so much patience and care.

This is the time we go back to being strangers.

When the tears I cry must not be shared,

the pain I feel must not be said.

The damage is done.

Let’s just move on.
